Maharashtra govt approves Rs 231 crore for assistance to tribals
The government of Maharashtra has approved a total of Rs 231 crore for disbursal to social group families within the state underneath its ‘Khavti’ grant theme. The social group development department issued a government resolution (GR) to the current impact on March 26, 2021.
In view of the issues arising thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, the state cupboard in August last year set to supply help of Rs 4,000 to families underneath the Scheduled Tribe (ST) class within the state, as per the GR. On March 26 this year, the government approved the disbursal of Rs 2,000 to such families through direct money transfer into their bank accounts, it said.
Former MLA Vivek Pandit, WHO heads a government committee on social group welfare, told reporters here on Saturday that they’re hopeful the help would reach the eligible beneficiaries.
