RCB vs KKR : KKR was blown away by RCB with a 8 wicket victory.

The two times champion Kolkata Knight Riders suffered a humiliating defeat by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) . KKR becomes the 16th team to score lowest runs in their allotted 20 overs.

The Virat Kohli led side restricted Kolkata Knight Riders at 84 for 8 . RCB’s Mohammed Siraj was the star of the match that took place at Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. He took down 3 KKR players and also became the first bowler in the history of IPL to deliver two madien overs in the same match.

He became the reason for the dismissal of Kolkata’s opener Rahul Tripaathi, followed by Nitish Rana and Tom Banton in a menacing spell of incredible bowling. After the first outrage of three overs Siraj’s figures read 3-2-2-3.

KKR’s other opener Shubman Gill was dismissed by Navdeep Saini and Yuzvendra Chahal took down former KKR captain Dinesh Karthik. KKR was now at 32 for 5.

Chahal next took down Pat Cummins, as he didn’t last long in the 13th over. Skipper Eoin Morgan was sent back in the 16th over by Washington Sundar, while making an attempt to hike the score in the last five overs.

At a point in the match KKR feared odd getting knocked out for the lowest total in the IPL history. However, the humiliating record is still held by RCB which is – all out at 49 surprisingly it was against KKR I’m the year 2017. It seemed, RCB took their revenge in the match yesterday.

As of now KKR’s 84 is the 16th lowest score in the IPL history and it is the franchise’s second lowest score. Though, 67 all out against Mumbai Indians in 2008 remains the first.

RCB now, ranks on the second position in the points table, whereas KKR has stooped down to the fourth place.
