Maharashtra BJP leader slams UP police for man handling Priyanka Gandhi and other women protestors.
Chitra Wagh a BJP leader from Maharashtra took a dig at the Uttarpradesh police for man handling with Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and many other women who are protesting against the Hathras gangrape case.
Chitra Wagh who is the vice president of Bhartiya Janta Party Maharashtra slammed Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and asked him to take strict actions against UP cops for their misbehavior. “There should be female cops in the police force at such times so that male police officers doesn’t grab women. If there are women protestors , male cops should not misbehave with them,” said Wagh out of anger.

On Friday, when Priyanka Gandhi along with Rahul Gandhi was walking towards Hathras, to meet the Hathras gangrape victim’s family, was stopped on Yamuna Expressway by cops. While stopping them some cops held Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was held by her clothes during man handling . However, even after soo many obstacles, the Gandhis along with other Congress workers made their way to the victim’s family in her village.
Vice Chairman of Maharashtra Legislative Council and Shiv Sena leader Nilam Gore demanded the suspension of the UP police officer who manhandled Mrs. Gandhi and other women on their way to Hathras. She wrote to Amit Shah Union Minister of Home Affairs about the same. Presenting her opinion to Amit Shah Gore conveyed, ” The Hathras incident has shattered the people of the country, the government must protect girls and women from such goons, who are walking threat in broad daylight.”
