Sharad Pawar criticised UP government
On Thursday NCP leaders, including party chief Sharad Pawar, criticised the Uttar Pradesh government for stopping Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s while they were going to visit the Hathras rape victim’s family.
The congress leaders had decided to proceed their journey on foot after they were stoped by the UP Police on Delhi- Noida highway.
It is reprehensible for those who are supposed to uphold the law to trample upon the democratic values in such a manner,” he said.

Adding on to Mr. Pawar’s opinion Maharashtra minister and state NCP chief Jayant Patil commented that this proves that the BJP just pretends to be devoted to Lord Ram but when it comes to there action they act like Nathuram. This name is reference from the assassin Nathuram Godse who murdered Mahatma Gandhi.
“Treating a key leader of a key party thus is condemnable,” he said.
Maharashtra’s home minister, Anil Deshmukh made. Statement that he was astonished by the act of UP government. He fells that any senior politician can go and visit the family of the victim to expressed their grief.
“I feel quite surprised that the UP government did not allow a senior leader of the party to meet the kin. This is a very serious issue,” he said.
