Whereas, this time they are also offering a relatively comfortable cabin and some other amazing features. The first-ever unit of the new Thar was recently auctioned for a jaw-dropping price of Rs 1.11 crores.
The question which arises in our mind is that what is so special about Mahindra Thar Number 1 that it managed to owe such a high price in what was an intensely fought auction? And why is the winning amount really important? Here is why.
Mahindra Thar 2020 Number 1 will go to the winner of the auctions that were held online, which came to an end on September 29, Tuesday. The auction and the car was won by Akash Minda, a resident of New Delhi. While the amount of ₹1.11 crore is a total to pay for the special Mahindra Thar, the money is going to be donated to either Naadi Foundation, Swadesh Foundation or PM CARES fund – based on where Minda wants to donate it.
Moreover, the car makers will match this amount and will donate it to the country in some way to fight against the coronavirus pandemic. The auction itself was for a noble cause but, what does the winner of the auction get now?
