PM modi lauded farmers for playing a vital role in making India ‘Aatmanirbhar’.
On Sunday, during the monthly ‘Mann ki baat’ broadcast, Prime Minister Narendra Modi applauded the farmers for strengthening India’s agricultural industry. In order to build a ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ the farmers are playing a vital role and making valuable contributions.
He said, India would have become a self reliant country much earlier if it would have followed the essence of Mahatma Gandhi’s economic policy. There would have been no need of running the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ campaign then, he added.
While speaking about bari issues during ‘Maan ki baat’, PM stated that many farmers from few states were at profit after fruits and vegetables were brought out of APMC act , few years ago.
Modi said, the agriculture sector will develop and benefit on a large after making greater use of technology in farming. India’s agriculture sector has made huge progress during the COVID-19 pandemic and all the farmers are taking lots of efforts to make India ‘Self-reliant’ i.e Aatmanirbhar, said Modi.
The PM started the monthly broadcast of ‘Maan ki baat’ by talking about storytelling and it’s importance. “Storytelling is as old as civilization…… These days stories related to science are gaining popularity, ” said PM Modi. He highlighted that India has a glorious tradition of storytelling and requested all the families to spare some time for storytelling.
